january 20 :: road rash

Not my proudest mommy moment. I tripped over a curb while carrying him through a parking lot and while I managed to stumble and hop a good 10 to 15 yards, it wasn't enough to save us from going down. Luckily I got the worst of it but I'm pretty sure he was scared sh*tless. Poor dude. You'd never know it from the look on his face here but I do believe he's forgiven me.

january 19 :: my little unicorn

There's a picture of me when I was about his age with a plastic tupperware cup suctioned to my forehead. I think it's safe to say that pic is a family favorite, especially of my grandmother who has a thing for unicorns. This just reminds me of that photo. He was quite proud of his shiny "horn", prancing around the house giggling and showing it off.

january 17 :: hi ho, hi ho

I had to spend the day at my corporate office in Dallas. I work for a pretty great company with amazing benefits and I love working from home. But if I had to go to an office I would totally want to go to this one. I mean there's an amazing "cafeteria", gym and local library branch on-site, weekly massage and chiro visits for FREE, and it's eco-friendly to the max. Pretty cool.

Blueberry waffle with syrup + ketchup = EWWWW!!! In my mind at least. The kids seemed to enjoy it though.

january 14 :: chiro in training

It's no secret that the kids and I love our regular chiropractic care. One of us enjoys our visits so much he's even started to get in on the action, helping Dr. Ross to adjust both himself and his brother. Here he is practicing a new technique.

January 9 :: what paper?

Never, ever turn your back when paint is involved. Even if it is just to put a few dishes away. Lesson learned. They were due for a bath anyway.

January 8 :: one little monkey

One little monkey jumping on the bed. The other little monkey who just woke up from his nap looking rather grumpy and unpleasant. I'd say this is a fairly accurate depiction of these guys' personalities.

Not that one is always grumpy and unpleasant...just a little more serious and reserved.

January 7 :: it's a beautiful day

4:00 in the afternoon. 64 degrees. Sunny with just a smattering of clouds decorating the sky. I only wish this was our Spring weather rather than so-called "Winter".

January 5 :: fluffy mail

 

Today was a day more highly anticipated sometimes than Christmas. The day brand new, silky soft, ridiculously cute diapers arrive in the mail. It's a sick, sick obsession for sure but hey, that one on the left with the cute car print? I've been lusting after that puppy for about 2 years!

January 4 :: the magic number

Everything has to happen in 3's these days. 3 pretzels. 3 minutes. 3 more times. I wonder if come April 26th we'll have to up everything to 4?

Coincidentally my favorite lens broke about 3 seconds after this picture was taken.

January 3 :: official big boy

Today is his first day in "the big kid class" (aka Preschool). As opposed to E-Pre. Let's just say the one thing that had been holding him back rhymes with pipers.
